With an online workplace, programmes and files are not on office computers, but in a secure data centre. An employee's computer is merely a window to that workplace - the heavy lifting happens elsewhere.
That means flexibility. Employees open their laptop at the office, at home or on the road, log in and see their familiar Windows environment with all programmes and files. Multiple locations? Part of the team working from home? Everyone works in the same environment with the same up-to-date files.
Existing computers can stay. Even older laptops are sufficient, because the computing power comes from the data centre. Does a laptop break? An employee picks up another and continues working immediately.
Updates, security and daily backups are handled by Barion. Everything is built with redundancy - if something fails, another system takes over immediately. Our online workplace runs in a secure Dutch data centre with 24/7 monitoring.
